Stories Behind It All

Here we want to take you on a journey, the journey to Ideaverse.

As we enter through the grand portal, me, one of the guides amongst many, wish to share with you stories about why and how Ideaverse was built, what it is like now, and what we aspire to expand it into.

Ideaverse was established in August 2017, formed by a group of millennials and generation Z. But first, let’s wind back to a few years before that.

Fighting the odds

Emptiness upon finishing a game and the loneliness of no one to share the joy and bitterness with, bothered the co-founders of IDV. An idea of a connected virtual game world was therefore seeded in their mind ever since. It was back to the time when these three young men from different backgrounds who shared the same dream were pulled together by the gaming industry. Whether their encounter was destined or not, they started their mutual efforts toward that same dream.

Of course, like most startups, things weren’t going all smooth from day one. They had many big ideas, but the lack of budget has always restricted them from making the scale they wanted. At the same time, they had a vague feeling that something else seemed to be missing too.

Play Beyond Fun

In 2021 the metaverse game ideas had ever-higher attention and resources, and the technological advancement became a flash point to a whole new gaming world. They realized it was the time.

With combined experience and expertise, they wanted to develop a gaming metaverse that would connect each game and not be isolated like what is already in the market. These new things from web 3 make their dream finally realizable, NFTs that can forever mark your in-game time and effort, the game economic system with internal and external circulation thanks to cryptocurrency, and DAO governance that allows players to truly engage in the operation of the games they have devoted so much into…

IDV — Ideaverse, the universe for ideas

Along the way, Metora, who shares the same vision, helped the studio reform into the Ideaverse Game Studio as of today. A decentralized studio with 60+ team members scattered across the globe and expanding.

We already have four well-designed and heavily invested games in the pipeline. Meanwhile, Ideaverse also embraces the concept of DAO governance, aiming to develop top-edge blockchain games that are actually fun to play for everyone.
